So its been foreeeeevvvver since I last posted. Everything is pretty much the same. Work, school, home..work, school, home...Staying inside for the most part because of the cold weather. We were not able to play in the first snow that fell. Alex and I had colds that we were fighting. Then it was too cold and windy to play the second time it snowed. We are very anxious to take Alex sledding. We have all her gear ready, coat, snow pants, Princess boots, Princess gloves, mittens and scarves. Just waiting for more snow.
The day after Christmas Alex continued wishing everyone a Merry Christmas... a week after Christmas she was still wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. We explained to her Christmas is over and all the decorations need to be put up. She got the picture because the following days she continued to tell me "Momma, Christmas is over" and then point at the decorations with this expression of annoyance because she still had to look at them. The decorations were soon put away.
Something cute: Doug, Grandma Olivia, Alex and I were counting all together. We let Alex count by herself. She got all the way to 14 and then said "Number teen". She forgot but remembered it was a number that ended in "teen".
So Alex has been in her big girl bed for several few months now. She is doing very well, for the most part. In the morning she likes to get up before the sun and come into our room to sleep. Sometimes we let her stay, sometimes we send her back to her room. One time when she came into our room, she was freezing. Her hands and feet were so cold. She takes her blankets off at night, so we assume thats the reason she was so cold. Because we told her she was cold, she now uses that excuse to sleep in our bed. "Momma, I cold. I sleep with you?"...Momma cant turn her away now.
Oh, more cute stuff: every church we drive by is claimed as Alexandra's Castle. Then anymore that she sees she will "give" it to me and say "Thats Mommys castle". Daddy only gets a castle if he is in the car with us. When she sees the Disney Cinderella castle, she claims that too. "Thats my castle! Thats my castle!"
And when she is really happy she now says "Its a dream come true". And she will tell us "Momma your my friend. Daddy is my friend. Bubby is my friend"... its goes on and on including the cats and anyone she can think of. She did get mad at Daddy one time and told him "Your not my friend". We had to explain to a 3 year old that if you are mad at someone, it doesnt mean you are no longer friends.
She comes up with the funniest things to say.
I have pictures and will soon post them.
